The Summer State Grant program allows eligible students attending summer courses to receive a State Grant award for the summer term.

Summer Grant eligibility requirements are the same as the State Grant program.

Please note: By law, students are limited to the equivalent of four academic year State Grant awards unless enrolled in a bona-fide five year program. A Summer Grant is included in the maximum number of payments for which a student may be eligible. Be sure to talk to your financial aid administrator if you have questions.
How to apply
- Submit the online Summer State Grant application by August 15.
- Although you may still apply after August 15th, your application will be considered late.

After you apply
We review your application for eligibility based on the information in your State Grant Record. Then, beginning in June, we email instructions for viewing your Summer Grant application status in Account Access.
