Additional free services from PHEAA
Services to increase awareness of the importance of completing secondary school and the importance of higher education and career planning:
- Advertising the free EducationPlanner website.
- Training sessions in using the Education Planner site.
- Distributing free materials to help students complete their elementary and secondary school education then plan for college/career.
- Providing workshops and user guides for community agency personnel in the use of our early awareness materials.
- Conducting early awareness workshops for students and parents.
Services to increase awareness of financial assistance programs to help pay for higher education:
- Workshops for community agency personnel on financial aid programs.
- Speakers for "financial aid nights" sponsored community agencies.
- Free materials concerning financial assistance programs for higher education.
- FAFSA completion workshops for high school seniors and their parents.
- Promotion of education savings opportunities for parents by working with the nowU Pennsylvania 529 College Savings Program.
- Dollar-for-dollar matches for private scholarships from eligible non-profit, community-based organizations in our PATH program.
