General Information
Requests for Public Records
Pursuant to the Right-to-Know Law (“RTKL”), 65 P.S. §§ 66.1 et seq., as amended, public records of the Agency are generally available to residents of the Commonwealth. The following outlines basic procedures for making a request for information.
Requests for information must be submitted in writing to:

The Agency may deny a request for information in accordance with the Right-to-Know Law. In the event the Agency denies a request for a public record, exceptions may be made in writing within 15 business days to:

Please note that requests for information or for exceptions sent via e-mail will not be accepted by the Agency.
All RTKL requests must be submitted in writing and must:
- State the name of the requester
- State the address of the requester (additional proof of residency may be requested)
- Set forth the address to which AES/PHEAA should address its response
- Identify or describe the records sought with sufficient specificity to enable the Agency to ascertain which records are being requested
Fee Schedule:
Standard fees are outlined below. The Agency may levy additional fees as necessary to cover costs it incurs in filling specific information requests.
| Photocopies: One "photocopy" is either a single-sided copy or one side of a double-sided copy. |

Note: The RTKL Official may require a requester to prepay if the fees required to fulfill the request are expected to exceed one hundred ($100) dollars.
